Considering the special treatment that celebrities and other important people (like politicians, cops, etc) get from the justice system, is there any reason at all that the average person should have any respect for it at all? If it was you or me, we’d be spending our 45 days in lock-up with the general population, and all that that involves.
Not likely. Time off for good behavior is SOP with all prisoners in local jails and even in prison in many states. It also is not unusual for inmates with minor violations and/or short sentences to be in a separate facility. Hilton does not seem to be getting different treatment than anyone else except the judge did "make an example of her" by giving her a stiffer sentence than others, in the same situation, have gotten.
