Where is that picture of the crying baby?
This is obviously a ploy to get the refs to call the games in San Antonio in favor of the Suns, as they did in Phoenix.
If you want to play big time basketball, you have to take your lumps and not be whining about it. Pro players don’t get muscled-up in their weight rooms for their health. That little Manu Genobili and the elderly Bowen can so terrorize that big baby, Stoudamire, is laughable.
Did you view the video?
Banging for rebounds and fouling hard to prevent an easy layup are legitimate parts of the game, especially in post season. Purposely trying to injure a player by kicking his Achilles tendon while he is shooting the ball is not.
Yes, that’s exactly right. The Suns get all the calls. Here’s an in-depth play by play of the calls in game 2 - done by a Bulls fan: http://wisinsider.blogspot.com
After his self-described charitable review of the tape, in the Suns blowout in Game 2 the Spurs got a net +10 calls. He begged people to watch Bowen all game - saying the guy commits apparently 25+ fouls a game - refs are so used to it from him they essentially no longer call fouls on him (which must be why he acts so surprised when he is called for anything).
You’re likely right - the Suns will go home after this series. The NBA has too much pride and doesn’t like being called for charades. I do find it odd that a league that’s gone to such great lengths to change its thuggish image condones thuggery on the court . . . in a game in which the audience was watching for it. The league lets it 2 time reigning MVP get kneed in the groin in unsportanslike fashion and the punishment, with the lights on and folks watching is . . . to call a foul. Geesh. I bet Bruce Bowen will think before he does that again.
What a joke of a sports league.
The Suns will likely go home and the league will get what it deserves . . . no one left watching it except the die-hards and some people in South Texas and the Detroit area.
