The jail sentence is the result of her being on probation from a DUI, and then driving with a suspended license that was also part of her punishment from the DUI. She knew she was not supposed to be driving and did it anyway. It was no “mistake”. Its not uncommon for a person to get a short jail sentence for violating the terms of a DUI probation that involves a suspended license.
