David Hasselhoff's visitation rights with daughter suspended after video of him drunk surfaces
Monsters and Critics ^ | May 8, 2007

David Hasselhoff's visitation rights to see his children have been suspended.

A Los Angeles judge temporarily barred the former 'Baywatch' star from visiting daughters Taylor-Ann and Hayley on Monday (07.05.07), following the emergence of a videotape showing him drunk in Taylor-Ann's presence.

Superior Court Judge Mark Juhas said: "This videotape changes the landscape, it just does."

Hasselhoff - a recovering alcoholic - was not present at the hearing, but ex-wife Pamela Bach attended.

The sanction will remain in place until May 21, when another child custody hearing has been set.

Here's the video. It's really sad and pathetic.

So which is worse? This or Alec Baldwin?

Baldwin is worse because he’s just an all around ass. Hasselhoff seems like a decent guy with a problem. I’m hopeful that this will push him to get himself straightened out for good.

You’re right. I hope he gets help, too.

CNN played that darn thing a million times or so it seemed as I frantically searched for the clicker to turn the channel.

We were talking and it was looping over and over ack.

Then I wondered if it was a staged stunt to promote his soon to be released book he wrote about his drinking problem.

Naw.

Agree.

He was the Knight Rider right?
I know about Baywatch and didn’t he release a musical attempt at singing?

Hasselhoff’s struggle with John Barleycorn has been widely known for a long time. At least a year ago, it was reported that he was so drunk in an airport VIP lounge that he lost bladder control.

Both are inexcusable and offensive.

My experience with relapses is that you drink half as much but get in twice as much trouble.

A classic late-stager like Herr Hasselhoff will probably need some medical help coming down from a drunk like that. A DT seizure could be fatal.

Baldwin. It sounds like Hasselhoff ASKED his children to video him if he got drunk again, as a lesson and warning to himself. At least he knows he has a problem, and was very careful NOT to berate his children for HIS problems.

Baldwin is just slime.

I think maybe the drunk video needs to be set to music. “Hooked on a Feeling” would work real well. :)

“Bush is a prime example of a recovered alcoholic..........”

I’m not aware that Bush has ever been an alcoholic, do you have a link to that source?

You’re absolutely right. I hope this has been a genuine wake up call for him. I’m not a big fan but he does seem like a decent guy. Hope he can pull himself out of this.
