Paris Hilton is devastated with a Los Angeles judge's decision to sentence her to 45 days behind bars--insisting she "doesn't deserve this."
The hotel heiress will serve just under seven weeks in a California jail cell, after she was found guilty for violating a probation order and driving with a suspended license in February.
The 26-year-old fought back tears as the sentence was handed down to her at Los Angeles County Superior Court by Judge Michael T. Sauer on Friday, but by yesterday afternoon she was back in Beverly Hills to apparently drown her sorrows with a bout of retail therapy.
Earlier that morning, Paris bemoaned her fate to waiting paparazzi outside her L.A. home, according to the New York Daily News.
She said, "I told the truth yesterday. I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the sentence is both cruel and unwanted and I don't deserve this."
Hilton is due to begin her prison stint at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Los Angeles County on June 5.

“deserve: to be worthy of, qualified for, or have a claim to reward, punishment, recompense, etc.”
Well , she has a claim to an estate. I gather you’d like to do away with inheritence?
This is an “Eat The Rich” thread. All these Hilton haters seem to be in a class warfare of some kind.
Well of course dear. Nekkid is what all the better people say.
Well, what has family wealth got to do with deserving. Who deserves money? Those who work and make it and their families who get to sponge off them. But I do think Paris makes money on her own.
Oh she DOES deserve jail, all right, but 45 days—IMO—is too much. Ten days would have made the point.
I swear, you are right. Eat the rich. Torture the beautiful. Enjoy the fall of the well dressed. Begrudge food to the skinny and most of all, wish bad things on the sexy.
Now Paris does drink, drives when drinking. All she needs is a good husband and all this nonsense would stop as he would be driving her from party to party, mooching off her and she wouldn’t need a license and could drink as much as she wanted.
Drinking, partying, dressing well and showing your figure are not illegal yet.
She just needs to get married.
Touche, FRiends. I was thinking in terms of the first part of the definition - being "worthy", but disregarded her claim via inheritance.
Thanks for the interesting verbal joust!
Damn. It passed spell check.
And no, I wouldn’t hit that.
One of my co-workers used to be a newspaper reporter, and her first month on the job, she did a story about her town’s Public Works department . . . and the L got omitted, right under her byline.
She still has that edition.
I'm in.
Ahem...
ping
I remember when my mother threw a party for the black sheep in our family. Had presents and cake when he got out of Juvenile hall.
SICK.
All of my brothers and sisters just sat there and starred in shock over the whole thing.
