probably no help against the possums cats tend to stay away from them.

Bummer.......lets hope this kitty grows very large!!

I did read that the possums are attracted to dog food that is left out and we have neighbors who keep a dog on a chain so his dog food is always available.

One time when I lived in the country I had about 13 cats and the possums would go right to their food bowl and eat and the cats would stand about three feet away and watch. The Game warden stopped by and I asked what to do about the possums and he said shoot them.

Possums love cat food too. We had 2 feral cats who stayed close by. I’d put the food on the couch table on the patio and a big ole possum could come and eat the cat food. They’ll eat anyone’s food. Their hind feed look just like their front feet. They have fingers front and back. They are U....G....L....LY! Ours was bit and ugly.
