Sorry, fat fingers got in the way (again)
It should read;
The rose, the rose,
presents a thorny problem,
for it touches the heart,
and often brings pain with pleasure,
tears with laughter,
wisdom with winsome wit.
And it seems not to care a bit,
or notice if hes a jewel or a cur,
or that she is bold or demure,
just that they are one and not apart,
dodging lifes thorns on the stem,
of our shared mortal rose.
Happy June 1st.
Good poem there by golly!
I was just thinking about you. How are things going?? Are you doing the Steam Boat thing this year?
Happy June to all.
Awww thanks Kathy, cute. ;)
YEP!,
Doing the ‘Steamboat Thing’ this summer, hard to find other volunteers to help, but Nancy has put her foot down and they have to find someone to help because this summer she wants at least one weekend a month off! (I said ‘yes dear’, and passed the news on to the folks at the museum.) ;^)
check it out at www.steamboatminnehaha.org , a hundred year old steamboat that plied the lake from 1906 to 1926
Oh good for Nan, I know you enjoy working there. ;)
How’s your weather?? We had a rip roaring storm last night, it’s on the humid side today, so I am not gonna work so hard today. Did too much yesterday and could barely walk at days end.
Good morning Soaring Feather. Happy June to you.
Howdy to you NYA.
I put your Saudi Arabia story on your page. ;)
So, that is the reason for so many Pisces / Aries births!
LOL must be!
Thank you. As promised, I am working on Iran.
I am not pleased with the way it looks, it goes centered and it does not look good. I may have to start a new page for your adventures. I will fudge around with it some more to get the alignment Flush Left.

Okay.
Gee, that is just great, both graphic and poem. Thanks.
Hi! I love Robert Frost and was surprised I never had read that rose poem till yesterday.
Darn good poem. Robert Frost.
Powering down
As I was ready to walk out of the door
on my way to do my monthly chores,
on the one day a month that I power down
and find myself venturing into town,
to do the things that I have left undone
because of working until it is done,
on my deck I saw a growth of flowers
reminding me of God and all of his powers,
to create life anew
though sometimes I feel I live in a zoo,
just an observation of things around
as I take off the day and power down.

Thanks. I got lucky putting those two together.
Now let’s hope June lives up to its reputation. :)
