Poison will hit more than 50 U.S. cities this summer on their "POISON'D! 2007" tour. The national tour, with RATT and special guest White Lion joining Poison for most of the dates, rolls out on June 13 in Greenville, SC, with stops in and around New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Detroit, Washington, DC and other major tour markets across the country.
Poison's new studio album, POISON'D!, will be released June 5 on CD and digitally by EMI America Records/Capitol. Featuring Poison's original members, POISON'D! presents the band's first new studio recordings since 2002's Hollyweird. Since Poison's 1986 debut, Look What The Cat Dragged In, the band has sold more than 25 million records and DVDs worldwide.
POISON'D! packs 13 explosive cover songs, including new recordings of David Bowie's "Suffragette City," The Cars' "You're Just What I Needed," The Romantics' "What I Like About You," Sweet's "Little Willy," The Marshall Tucker Band's "Can't You See" and The Rolling Stones' "Dead Flowers." Some of Poison's best previously recorded covers are also featured on POISON'D!, including KISS' "Rock and Roll All Nite," Grand Funk Railroad's "We're An American Band" and Loggins & Messina's "Your Mama Don't Dance."
In July, VH1 will premiere a new reality show, "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels." VH1's description of the show has "the hard-rockin' Poison front man looking for a woman who can truly keep up with his rock-n-roll lifestyle and not become jealous of his one true passion -- performing, which has been the reason for and destruction of most of his relationships."

Rockin 80s Ping.
An album of covers.
They are officially more pathetic now than when they were charting.
A Poison fan and his money are soon parted.
They put on a good show and are all about the fun.
Bob Dylan they are not. That’s not the point, they don’t even claim to be anything but a classles, partying, fun band.
Which has made them millions. So let it be.
And they’ve had several releases in the last 10 years, including a CD of original material a couple years ago.
You’re gonna ruin your hearing, mister.
What? Can’t hear you.
These guys are the DeFranco Family of 80s Metal but for some reason their image continues to be rehabilitated as time advances. Bring on the Camaro T-Tops, Pan boots and mullets!
Meanwhile, Van Halen can’t get it together.
But when it comes to a partying, fun band you can make my funk the P-Funk.
Parliament/Funkadelic?
I’ll only go if RATT is touring with them.
(Now, where’s my hairspray? And some of my hair?)
I personally can't stand VH any more than Poison, but this does speak to RockinRight's point: Eddie Van Halen sees himself as a creator of high art, whereas his vocalists are just party guys Cabo Waboing and Just A Gigoloing their way through life.
Eddie Van Halen is a curmudgeonly perfectionist. And, let us not forget, a drunken mistreater of Valerie Bertinelli - who is now reduced to doing Weight Watchers commercials.
I want my funk uncut. Don't want my funk stepped on.
ROCK AND ROLL MADE ME WANT TO BURN AND ROB!!!
The melamine tour.
Aye and one of the most blinding talents of the rock era. I know there's plenty of debate about the originality of some of EVH's technique but he brought it to the masses and made it instantly recognizable even to non-guitar-heads.
CC DeVille is a root-fifth hack with a ridiculous stage name - but a decent bloke in interviews and riding the gravy train until the wheels fall off.
“POISOND”
Nobody who substitutes an apostrophe the letter “e” is getting any of my money.
CC’s no great guitarist, but he plays better than I do, and he’s a Republican, at least.
They are fun; I've seen the them twice '86 and '01(?) both were great shows. I'd see them again.
