What is it exactly? Like MobiTV, but with chat capabilities?

I’m not familiar with MobiTV. It has a selection of channels that you can view, you can search them for specific content. It’s sort of like cable-tv for the Internet. As I mentioned before, the selection is currently very limited. But then, it is a beta test so, the real issue is does the software work and the answer is yes. There are bugs, but that’s what Beta testing is for.

It’s like Internet TIVO without the need for time slots to download the video. But the channel lineup is not very impressive so far — A lot of kiddie eye candy stuff, not much substance. Need to boost the real programming, which they say they will, before it becomes viable. It’s ad supported and the ads are annoying. No fast forward like TIVO so you can’t bypass the ads, or fast forward a boring film.

Right now they say they are having network load problems, so the picture quality is not that good either. Will have to wait and see. It’ still early ...
