Crown Royal Presents The Jim Stewart 400Richmond International Raceway
Welcome all to the the Nextel Cup race at Richmond International Raceway!
Since the first race in Richmond in 1953, the track has undergone three name changes, four configuration changes and one surface change, from dirt to asphalt. Lights were also added to the facility in 1991. RIR is the only track to hold all of its major events under the lights. Richmond's unique, .75-mile layout produces tremendous side-by-side racing, yet drivers obtain high enough speeds to give it a superspeedway feel. That rare combination still allows for the beating and banging that fans love, with the drivers' skill playing a major role. The track's fall date is now the final race leading up to the 10-race Chase for the NextelCup.
Crown Royal Presents The Jim Stewart 400 at RIR is named after Jim Stewart from Houma, Louisiana, The winner of an essay contest sponsored by Crown Royal during the festivities leading up to the 2007 Daytona 500. As guest of honor, Stewart will wave the green flag to start the race, as well as participate in the check and trophy presentations to the race winner in Victory Lane. Crown Royal judged the finalists based on written and video submissions chronicling consumers' favorite "Crown-Worthy" moments, which is defined as a memorable moment or occasion deemed "worthy" of toasting with a Crown Royal cocktail in a responsible manner. Stewart's winning entry chronicled his moments growing up fishing with his father and later christening his own fishing boat with a toast to his father.

Yeah I don’t know. I’ve been noticing that Pam can in pics from the garage area since Martinsville.
I know you’re not supposed to use those sprays on teflon cookware. Maybe I will send them back a note of your idea. :)

Okay... for a moment, imagine a couple tweakers thinking they’re about to steal dually pulling a featherlite loaded with the worldly belongings of a family who’s moving.
Can you imagine them running down the pike, stopping and opening the trailer?
Dude. There’s only a car in there.
WHAT??
A car, man.
Aw $#^*. We gotta get outta here, they’re gonna be lookin for this truck.... hey ... did you say ‘car’ ??
Dude... it’s only got one seat.
I don’t care, we gotta get outa Dodge.
I think it a Ford man...

Did they mention Chad McCumbe will be driving for Petty during the time he’s announcing for TNT? One other driver will be filling in also, but I forgot who.

BTW Mears HANS device cracked after that wreck they just showed. Kyle Buschs’ being the other one if you all hadn’t read that. Kyle’s was 3 or 4 years old, so they need to get new ones sooner than that.

The 29 “bumped” the 26 in the right rear quarter panel. Nothing major, just a tap- thinking the 26 wrecked the 20. The 26 then got mad too and drove the 29 up the track trying to wreck him, stopped in front of him, or slowed to a near stop, and when the 29 went forward the spun the 26 around. THEN the 26 was trying to catch up to him to hit him more. After the initial contact all the 29 did was try and get away from the 26.
Clearly the 26 over reacted. BUT the 29 should not have gotten involved in the first place, that is what Berrier was screaming over the radio. Good thing they did not fine for laungage because the F bomb was dropped by Berrier.

DJ had a press conference today on the radio....
It seems that DJ is NOT very happy with the revolving personnel at MWR
He wasn’t happy with Matt Borland as his Crew Chief. They offered Matt the (I think this is right) Tech director position. He originally took it. Then came back and said he didn’t want it. Ty Norris told him that there is not another Crew Chief position available. So, it is either that Tech Director position or no position at MWR. Matt said then I guess it is no position

BLANEY makes the race and sends JEREMY! home...amazing how horrible this permanent 35 is going this year...Jeremy Mayfield can’t qualify with a 21.8sec run...only 0.3 sec off the pole speed. I don’t like this at all.

It really is terrible. I feel sorry for Jeremy, but he did choose to go to Toyota. Of course Evernham let him go which I believe was because of what he was saying about Erin.
Menard is now on the bubble.
Nascar is thinking of tweaking qualifying. There’s a blurb on Jayski.
