Rain......we need a short track on the west side of the Rockies!
Correct on both counts. 1pm start and the forecast is for rain in the morning and partly cloudy in the pm. 2am is the curfew.

I had a funny experience with Mike Helton a few years ago. I had a dispute with a track official in Richmond a couple years ago as to what was permitted into the stands. They told me I could not bring my video camera into the track!
I threw a fit and told the track official that I would take it up with Mr. Helton.
Well, the whole thing was a mistake and the official made a mistake. The track appologised to me later.
Anyway, I snuck my camera into the track and later I was just outside the tent where they have the drivers meeting. All of the drivers where walking by and I looked at the persom standing next to me and it was Mike Helton!
I thought about raising kane with him about what happened to me, by my young son was next to me and I thought “don’t make an idiot out of yourself.” I turned to my son and said “look, its Mr. Helton.” Helton could not have been nicer and was signing autographs and beng very friendly, as you might expect.
This really is a great sport

DANG..I went to the track and all I got instead of a t-shirt was soaked..I’m sittin on the backstretch just before turn 3 about 15 rows from the top..I’m the guy in the baseball hat, y’all look for me..
you got that right..I went there tonight (under the stands) and all it did was continue to rain..miserable..
