I guess this article blows the commonly heard statement about black troops during WWII...The Germans treated the black US POW's better than the white US troops treated the black US troops.

I've never heard anybody make that argument before, but this case in and of itself doesn't prove it to be incorrect because whites were also massacred at Malmedy. The Bulge was a hail mary pass, and certain decided not to waste resources guarding and feeding prisoners.
