Tusday, MAY 1, 2007, EGRESS
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today.
The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer. Im just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words as if can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.

Do we need to get you one of those programs that types what you say out loud?
But don't worry, I'll be back in here to henpeck ya!
Gabz makes the craziness seem routine. LOL, I am glad I am down to just the two of us here.
We moved the son off to the big city and he got mugged. When the punks started yelling “stick him, stick him” he just ran like heck out of there.....being a mom is for life.
I’m sorry about your son, ti. Glad he’s a fast runner!!!
But it’s done with a smile!!!!
So am I!! He waited several weeks to tell us, but I am still shaking from the thought of it. It IS pretty routine to hear of knifings in Binghamton. I hear about them all the time, I thought the area he is in was safer. rme
Ah, that comment sounds funny. I meant you handle those crazy times with ease and a sense of humor. rme - what is with me today?
Yikes on the son........sheesh, I’m glad he’s OK.
The craziness will calm down and go away - it’s just a matter of too many changes in the routines of 2 families with combined routines hitting at the identical time. next week and the week after will be a bit hairy, but after that everything should settle down to a manageable roar, and after that, there’s only a month left of school, little league will be done and girl scouts will only be once in awhile.........and then we get to September....ROFL!!!!
But by then I probably won’t have a job anyway - I’ll probably tick off the officers of the Lodge so much they’ll look to get rid of me altogether, including my husband who is now #2 there!
Wow, the winds are whipping up here. It's got a brownish color to it. Another dirt wind, then rain. Happened Saturday.
Ava’s mom is running late and she is dissing me. She KNOWS mom should be here and she is holding out for her. LOL, the little imp. She won’t even come near me, she keeps going back to the front door and looking out.
Yeow. Brown wind? Is this your rainy season?
-we had a cop knifed while on duty....he was hurt pretty bad. He is on the mend now, he was lucky. Your stepson was lucky too. I guess my kid was luckier since he avoided the knife. He broke his finger though. He initially fell when he started to run, then got back up and took off. Later he realized he broke his finger.
No. It’s the dust storm season and then behind the dust storms are a few sprinkles of rain. Our “monsoon” season starts middle of July and August. 4th of July is not nice here. Can’t see the fireworks for the rain. Totally different weather patterns than you have.
This is bad, ti, and please forgive me if you take it the wrong way: Was the middle finger broken? I mean those blue casts look so funny (painfully at that) on a middle finger.
Kids have habits just as we do. Mom being late is one of them. Mom will be there shortly, I’m sure. Traffic jam?
It would have to be multi-lingual for me. -- "Lady, I only know two languages; English, and bad English!"
Yep, middle finger.
-ran out of diapers.......had to stop on the way home. Ava is gone now, and very happy to see her mommy. Just an extra 20 minutes.
-then your posts will look like xs’s then? (ducking)
