Actually, alligators are a lot tastier than cats and need a lot less teriyaki sauce to be made palatable.

Cat spraying is a marker from urine. There are hormone treatments that will reduce the cat's need for this (Fel Away), and sometimes the cat does it out of anxiety (Elavil works well). Then there is the idiot cat that does it cause it can and won't take any treatment for an answer....those are a problem.

Sounds like the neutering got botched. Have a vet check that out and if all DID go well...lose the cat. Keep the wife.
Thanks for the clarification—what I thought about the difference between urine spray and the anal gland stuff. I think my mom’s dog let loose one time in a vet’s office with the stuff from the anal gland. Do they do it when they get nervous? And like I said, my dog let loose in my dad’s car. Thank goodness he had vinyl seat covers.
I like your idea about the snotty sales person—also would be good to take to a liberal protest but I’ve heard they stink so I’m not sure if anybody would notice.
And alligator chops are big enough to take the “bust”!
I saw last year a whole list of alligators eating cats in Florida. So, cats must be as tasty raw as they are cooked.
I guess its Florida’s way of controlling the feral cat population.

I've had dogs who have had glands expressed, not by me, but by groomers, so I do know that the odor is horrendous.
Well if the cat is just peeing on things, as I have said before, don’t know what you can really do about that.. but cat pee, while stinky is not remotely anal glad expression.
Based on the posters original posting I assume the cat was expressing itself (spraying the anal gland fluid)... which no human being can remotely want all over their house, even if you clean immediate, just dealing with the smell when it happens is horrible.
You can’t confuse the anal glad fluid for piss.... piss is a roses and lilacs compaired to it.

Yea, I’d say its not piss then. Piss does smell, but anal gland experssion at least in my experience is darker colored (black or brown), thicker and stinks to high heaven.
Urine is a yellow ammonia smell, anal gland fluid will water your eyes... it does not smell like ANYTHING else in the world.
Pee is just peeing and there are options out there that can help, but if your cat is expressing its anal glands all over the place, I’d definately talk to a vet. And if they aren’t infected or have other issues that are behind it.. I’d have them removed.
Truthfully, it was clear when I saw some on the floor. I believe it is cat pee. It still won’t go away. I am not sure about this surgery. He is not coming in our new house so we can experiment. He is either going to be an outdoor cat, or he will be gone.
If its pee you can try some of the other options people have given here. Or just accept he’s going to be a glorified Tom.
Rescuing animals is a crap shoot, particular adult animals... I know the rescue leagues don’t like to hear that, but its the truth.
One option that was put to me was to set him up in a mini kennel in our back yard. Give him a doggie/cat house and protection from extreme elements. The other option was to give him to a rescue organization. He is a good little fellow and we don’t want to see him put down by the city.
Tough decision, maybe he just needs to find a good farm.
