This is a poll at the Michael Silence blog.
No, Weave freaks out because he didn't have any more under the hood! Up there in the mountains, that do tend to happen. I was in a '66 Pontiac Tempest once with a 326 4V under the hood burning hi-test, loaded down with six people and luggage, and I saw how it labored trying to get across the Raton Pass in New Mexico, up in the Sangre de Cristos, on the Interstate. At the top of the pass, the driver was all the way in it and he couldn't get it above 30 mph. No joke, bloke.
Bullit- Best car chase of all time. Nuf said. ; )
Or it was just one great big one. Well OK two, the opening scene when Jimmy Durante kicks the bucket [my father shouted out loud in the theater "He kicked the bucket!"] and the rest of the movie. Great stuff!
You will want to follow this link:
Blues Brothers!
Because It’s 106 miles to Chicago, we’ve got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it’s dark and we’re wearing sunglasses.
Besides Im a chick and I cant get into those macho guy flicks with serious car chases, but a car chase through a shopping mall? Thats cool
You know there is some old film footage of actual motorcycle races that Steve McQ was in. I have seen some, he was a good bike rider.
Whatever. ;>)
Chester and his mighty slant six still cracked me up.
Herbie, the love bug < /S >
In ‘99 he was inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
ROFL
Did you see Ronin? That's an actor's movie and the looks on the faces of the drivers is part of the chase thingy. The driver being chased was female.
No flames here, I thought that was a good one.
"Bad Boys II" car chase was pretty good too. (Martin Lawrence: "They're throwing cars at us, man. CARS!")
I went with Bullit, and it’s #1 at 34 percent.
The French Connection.
Not just a chase scene, but the iconic motorcycle chase scene of all time.
“I havent read it posted yet, but DUEL”
Isn’t that an early Speilberg movie?
Anyway, yeah it was good (but not Bullitt).
The first lap of any NASCAR rac!
LOL...blues brothers because they were on a mission from God and outran Nazi’s in a Pinto...
“Steve was such a great motorcyclist, that in some of those scenes, who wore a Nazi uniform, and performed some of the Nazi stunts.”
The motorcycle was actually a reworked Triumph made to resemble a German BMW. The BMW’s couldn’t clear the fence, too slow.
Also, some trivia is that after cutting those daily scenes McQueen would go riding around the countryside on the Triumph and wearing his Nazi uiform, which had the locals turning their heads.
