An American couple going out for two years have enjoyed their first kiss - at their wedding.
Katie and Tim McAfee agreed to a sex ban and no kissing before they wed. The couple from Bismarck, North Dakota, are devout Christians.
They prayed with their parents for God's strength before going out on dates.
Tim, 25, touched his 24-year-old wife's lips for the first time at Bismarck's Evangel Temple.
Tim said his kiss with Katie was great but added: "I don't have anything to compare it with."
Katie's sister, Margie, 21, and her new husband Nadir Torres, 22 also took the same vow and were wed at the same ceremony minutes later.
All four Christians wanted to uphold biblical law on sexual purity and were worried even kissing each other could "light a fire," reports the Bismarck Tribune.
The girl's parents, Pam and Larry Rehn, prayed with the couples before letting them leave for a date. Both their daughters took a covenant of purity when they turned 13 and were given a purity ring to wear.
Pam said the newlyweds were "nervous" when the time came to spend their first night together after the wedding celebrations.
She told her new sons to be gentle with her daughters, then watched them walk home. "The girls kept looking back," Pam added.
Thats a little extreme. Actually, more than a little.
But if that was their choice, so be it.
What if hubby had discovered that wifey had breath like a cat litter box? Or maybe she discovers he is a lousy kisser?
Good for them, but a tad extreme.
Best of luck to the couple though.

Breath that smells like a cat box, sloppy tongue, dry cracked lips, sitting there doing nothing...it’s not hard.

well, being a lousy kisser can be balanced out by being excellent in other ways.
How would she know?
I saw a TV show once about this young Christian couple who believed in old-fashioned “courting” instead of dating. The guy had to ask the girl’s father for permission to court her before they could go out, and even then, they were never alone. They were always chaperoned, and they never kissed till the altar. After the wedding reception, they showed the couple driving off. And boy, the groom really peeled out of there! Guess he was more eager for the honeymoon than the average groom! Anyway, they followed up on the couple a year later. They had a baby and seemed quite happy.
Ut-oh! The kid's gonna be looking for a "comparison" kiss.
