You don’t need visas to visit the UK or Australia. There are about 15 countries with the visa waiver program in place. Have Passport, will Travel.

US citizens most certainly do need a visa to enter the UK and Australia.With both countries it's very easy for most folks to get that visa...it's pretty much automatic.However,if you're an "undesirable" (my word) both countries have the right to,and *will*,exclude you from entering.

Same goes for British and Australian citizens wishing to enter the US.

And you are most certainly wrong about that.

Do I Need A UK Visa?

Now, apparently Australia does require visas of US citizens. But there is an ETA for 20 aussie dollars (Electronic Tranist Authority) so it's not technically a visa stamp in the passport but close enough.
