While I was reading the list I was thinking, "Well, where's the Flip?" Definitely number one. I always wanted one, but being a curly-haired girl, couldn't do it.
Of course I was in heaven when the Farrah came out. At least that one looked great on me!

What about the landing strip?
And then there is the "fell asleep in a gutter wearing a bedsheet around my neck" look. :(

Although currently only on a comic character, it's a hair style that women can strive for:

I like a little French Twist now and again.
(and -- oh yeah -- the hairstyle, too)

Thanks! Aaaah, the Farrah, favored by guys for their girls everywhere. Not that we need proof.
Audrey Hepburn was just so lovely -she ‘made’ that hairstyle. Not many can pull it off.
Aaah, brings back memories. In high school, my sister talked me into getting the Dorothy Hammill cut. Not my best look. I grew it out into a Farrah special, then into the 80’s perms. I also sported the Jackie Kennedy bob as a preschooler.
There - that’s better. ;-)

LOL! I was thinking of making an appointment to cut my hair and I just now came to FR after doing a websearch on hairstyles! Are you channeling my thoughts, pissant?
Alas, I’ve seen no ideas I like on the web and I’ve definitely seen none in this thread so far.

Yuck, those are awful except Farrah. Long hair (on women) is always sexy to me, never goes out of style.
I’m so jealous of your mullet, Pissy. :P

None of them can hold that candle to long, straight and black or occasionally long, straight and blond. Short hair on a young woman is a turn-off for me. The heavily “done” hair is just a waste of time and effort.

how did I know Audrey Hepburn would be on this list ?
Talk about classics! So timeless, two of my 20-something kids have her picture on their walls
