I do. We filled the garden tub and it stayed full for a week when we were having all the ice. I didn't dare empty it!

Rain barrels are good to have around too.

I once had a house with an inverted A-frame roof that the valley dispersed the water to a system of piping which distributed the water to 6 rain barrels. It worked great.
