As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Kay - RIP.
In the news...
Russia is planning to build the world's longest tunnel. In a project being coordinated with the United States and Canada, and to which the nations of Japan, China, and South Korea have also expressed an interest in aiding, the Russians desire to build a 64-mile, three-section, highway, rail, power, fiber-optic tunnel across the Bering Strait to Alaska. The tunnel complex would cross the strait and would link to two islands across its route (thus three sections). It is expected the project would cost $12 billion--the Chinese have indicated they will fund a portion, and it will enable the shipment of Russian oil and gas to America..
A court in Montgomery county, Virginia, had found Sueng-Hui Cho, the VT madman, "mentally ill" and potentially dangerous. Specifically, the detention order has stated "presents an imminent danger to himself as a result of mental illness", and "presents an imminent danger to others as a result of mental illness". The court then let him go--allowing outpatient treatment. That was December 2005.
While the Supreme Court victory on abortion really didn't stop the vicious murdering of viable fetuses (read the opinion, sorry folks, its true) insofar as the fetus could still be killed inside the mother and then removed, there is nevertheless very good news in what the Supreme Court ruled. It may be possible to outlaw specific procedures, or even enhance the current law, so the grusome D&E process can be stopped once and for all. The Supreme Court made it very clear the process of abortion can, in fact, be regulated--although it cannot be stopped. The wording hung its hat on words like "viable", "other options", "delivery milestones", and so on. Thus, regulation of the process through appropriate legislation is now possible. The left is crying foul, so they can see this way forward too.
About a month or so ago, the DJIA crashed, taking with it two percent of its total value in one day. The left was screaming this was the end of the economic boom. Yesterday, the DJIA closed above 12,800 for the first time.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
You mean to tell me you don’t give them Nut N Honey? heh heh
I know people who have large aquariums with large fish. They bring in small fish for the larger ones to feed on. So I can see the fish feeding on the frog eggs and small frogs, it’s all part of the food chain. I’ve heard these fish live a long time. I think it’s wonderful you’ve had some for so many years. Unfortunately, golf fish live only about 5 years and I’ve lost 2. I need to get some more, the one I have left, I think is lonely.
I have no beef with you my friend.
An anti-freeper will always be an anti-freeper.
I think I made a point, period.
If a person does not like FreeRepublic, then be gone. Period.
I understand.
A female red-bellied woodpecker. I’ve got a mating pair hogging one of my suet feeders.
Neets is not making any trouble.
Thank you for reinstaing her.
She’s our friend and has been for many years. You seem to be a new comer here. Please, if you have a gripe about our friend, take it to your minister, not here. Bye.
Gee, I didn’t know that. Oh well, she’ll behave, she said so.
I agree with LBKQ, Jim, she’ll behave. Bless you for letting her back. LUV YA.
Nite all. Sleep well. Till tomorrow.
Because this isn’t a thread that you would generally just “happen upon”.
You obviously went looking for a confrontation through a post search.
This is a thread of friends, and a friendly place for those friends to hang out.
Go thread stalk somewhere else.
Jim Robinson has already said if there are problems, Neets will be gone...I suggest you stop trashing people on her behalf before you make her stay shorter than she expects it to be.
A bit of calm on all sides and perhaps some private explanations to people are in order, if you ask me.
Think I'll ping Mr. Mulliner....he might need a new mower.
Neets hurt lots of people...yet she is welcomed back while another of my friends is branded a stalker and banned from FR. I find that strangely unamusing
However, please discuss this with people who were involved in the decision, which most people here were not. It would be greatly appreciated if this thread didn't turn into a giant argument, especially with kayak's death yesterday. Thanks!
checking out for the evening.
Looks like a John Deere. I hope Iowa Granny sees it and shows it to her “boys”. They will love it. I have a friend who restores OLD John Deeres. He always some painted or cleaned part hanging in their garage. It’s funny ‘cause he doesn’t seem the type to do that sort of thing.
Well, I’m really turning in for the night now. So ALL have a good night, sleep well and I’ll finger tip talk to you tomorrow. (finger tip talk from bevlar)
BTTT
Actually, just like the Canteen, you'd be surprised how many people lurk here and don't post.
