Just for fun -- Google-proof trivia

There's a problem playing any sort of trivia on-line, these days. You can easily hop onto Google, or Ask, or wherever, and look things up.

Here is an attempt at a trivia game that is, more or less, Google-proof.

The game is entirely fair, and accurate. Some questions are dead lock cinches, others are much harder. A few are ''within context'', meaning that there might be several correct answers BUT the incorrect answers will be ''weeded out'' by answers to the other questions.

Rules? Simple. Associate the various clues with ONE, just one, letter of the alphabet.

Please answer in the following form: (clue number) - (letter). Thus, if clue #6 is ''1st Supreme Court Chief Justice'', the answer is clearly 'J', as in ''John Jay'', so please answer ''6-J''.

Post as many answers as you like, BUT, post them all at one time: 1-D, 2-Y, 3-M, 4-B, and so forth. Only your first response will be accepted, so...take your time!!

Speaking of time, and since this is a first attempt, I'm allocating 1 1/2 minutes per question, 26 x 1.5, or 39 minutes.

If you want to play, no need to signup, just show up. The questions will be posted in 30 minutes -- anything goes, puns, curios, history, BUT, there is NO, say again zero, political content in the game.

A new ''chat'' thread will be opened for the game -- in the meantime, if you care to, please advise whether you're interested in having a go. Hey, if no one is interested, won't waste Jim's bandwidth!

The game thread will be titled: Alphabet Soup.

Oh, yes. One other thing you want to know. Scoring will be as follows: 3 times the number of correct answers, MINUS, 2 times the number of incorrect answers that are submitted. Our various FReeper game theorists might have some fun with this.

FReegards to everyone, good luck, and let's play!

That would do nicely. If you want to add a dash, like C-2, that would be helpful to these old eyes.

Good luck!

Actually, Jaysun, I trade options almost exclusively. Don’t know your strategies, but perhaps mine **might** be of some use to you. You’re welcome to them, at your convenience.
