Devastating news about Allie's friend. Is there anyone who can intervene?
TWO rows of grits sounds about right w/your appetite for them. LOL
I have flowers blooming, but the vegetable garden is not planted....tomatoes won't grow in cool weather, so I guess you'll be harvesting some before I do and you can tell me how good they taste. The ones in the stores now are red but tasteless.
I am looking forward to strawberries in the pick-your-own fields down the road from me. 'Love those!

I am planting some flowers in the garden to help attract the bees, been told it works, will try it and HOPE their are some bees.
I have 12 tomatoes planted so far and will have about 24 when finished, got to get me some cherry tomatoes for salads, if I can find them, so far, have not.
Did you hang some cherry tomatoes upside down last year? I’ve done 4 and only 1 is struggling to survive. I guess I’ll have to purchase one of those canvas thingeys that allow the tomatoes to hang down. I have planted a big boy, I’m getting ready to plant a yellow bell tomato and 2 patio tomatoes. This farming stuff is fun. The golfers think I have something loose between my ears. Their wives get a daily report of my “farming”. I have to check on my elephant ear, see if anything is happening, I hop so. I need something big in that spot. While the soil is wet, I’m going to dig up an antique rose, poor thing it’s been struggling ever since I planted it in the shade. I’ll move it to the back fence where it will get sun almost all day.
My friend gave me two red rose roots that she had her grandson dig up, because she doesn’t care for roses. The roots where chopped off, the tops were jagged. I had my druthers when I saw them, but because she’s a friend I put them in the ground. WOW, they are both growing and when they get a bit taller I’ll attach them to the fence. They are beautiful roses, I just don’t understand why she wanted to get rid of them.
