I appreciate and respect every person serving in uniform, but I tell you it is a fool who assumes that because I don’t wear one and I’m younger than 30 that it means I am not a man and my resolve is weak. A society of ninnies? Sure. But don’t be so haughty as to judge me before you have seen my character under duress.
Some people may live their entire life without the situation, circumstance, or turn of events to show what they’re made of. With the All Volunteer force, there are “A Few Good Men” who shine above the rest. Those that live off the sweat and blood of the brave, may be heros in their own minds, but its action that speaks true, not self-rightiousness. If you want respect, DO SOMETHING! If your feeling judged, I would guess, your not doing enough.
