What you learn as a child is a pretty good indicator of how you will react in any given situation for the rest of your life.

It really bugs me that in elementry / middle school / high school nowadays if you defend yourself, both you AND the bully are suspended. Zero tolerance has certainly made us all safer.

Zero tolerance does exactly what it’s designed for: and child that has a prayer of standing up for himself is taught that he’s wrong. I’d be locked up now for the times I defended myself and others when I was in school!
