A human face may take appx. 9 months to form/shape, but it can be destroyed and disfigured within a split second. Haven't you ever seen what a gunshot suicide to the face looks like? I don't cry easily but the first time I saw one of those, it just tore me all up.

If it was really just a lone nutter, I guess it doesn't matter if they hold the name a while. Not like it's a Be On The Lookout. It'd be different if they were holding back info on somebody dangerous at large.

It gets to the problem of, who decides if it's "terrorism?" Do we, the terrorized, have any say in who it is that terrifies us? Or is it only the government pros who can tell us who is terrorizing us and who is just a harmless fluffy bunny? Who decides if we can have the night-light of information on at night so we don't get scared, or if we have to tough it out in the informational dark all night?

They say he’s from China, foreign student with visa. Sources now saying there were three bomb threats last week at Virg. Tech, and believe he - the shooter -may have been testing security. There is another suspect still on the run. Looks like this may terror related, though don’t look to the “officials” to say that.

Yeah, those are all strange things. Like he must have had familiarity with the buildings, even though they are saying he wasn't a student there. He must have really cased it. Although if his girlfriend was a student maybe he had been around the place enough.

As to so little info being put out about him, if he was only in the country less than a year, maybe he hadn't met that many people. OTOH, maybe there are several people who do know him, but since his name and picture haven't been publicized, they don't even know they should volunteer information about him. There must be thousands of "asian guys" at VT. How would any friends know to speak up about this guy, if they're not releasing the name?

Seems like a Catch-22. People don't come forward with info until they know who specifically is of interest, and maybe the police want to get more info before they release his name. Seems like a self-defeating way to run an investigation, but we'll see, maybe there is a reason for it.
