What am I missing here??? If you are bitten by a spider in the wrong (er...right?) place, wont that part of you get all swollen and stuff? ROFLMAO!
Yep. Pretty much.
I think it has more to do with the fact that spider venom is a neurotoxin.
Since it would be (I'm assuming) a topical application instead of a compound that was ingested, it could deaden the nerve receptors in the...err...appendage without the Vioxx-type side effects.
