What makes this man a “scientist”? Does anyone here know his background?

Anyone who devotes all his time to the study of a particular field of interest is a “scientist”. At least that’s what MSM would have us believe, since they regularly call such people “scientists”.

Yes. He has excellent science journalism and popularization creds. He is extremely bright and doesn't mind being out on the forefront of speculation. He is neither a mathematician nor a physicist, but encourages general interest in these and in space exploration. If his reports of possible interesting formations on the moon, Mars, and other solar system objects don't stimulate public enthusiasm for space exploration, it won't be for lack of imagination on his part.

He worked at/for NASA for a while if I recall, but I’d have to dig around to get his full resume. He is called the “science advisor” on the C2C show when we calls in. OTher than that..... dunno :o) I just love posting that picture.. makes me laugh out loud each time I do it.
