Went to FirstCare at the hospital last night, where I was diagnosed w/influenza, aka the flu...............viral.............so no treatment, although they did give me a dandy anti-inflammatory shot which relieved the symptoms enough that I was able to more or less sleep through the night for the first time this week.
Fever is finally down this morning but still feel pretty awful so cancelled my schedule for the day (again)................hoping I can pull myself together for a couple of hours tomorrow afternoon to rehearse at the university for a recital I'm supposed to be playing for on Saturday night. If I can salvage that much from this week I'll be happy. Well, not happy. But. Satisfied. Sort of.
Back to couch.
Yikes, Mozie. What a terrible time of year to have the flu. Not that there’s ever a good time...
Drink plenty of fluids. That and rest are sometimes the best things we can do when we’re that sick. (((Hugs)))
I’ve had one of those dandy anti-inflammatory shots once. It helped a lot but I still had to get over the stuff.
Take care. Fluids, rest, rest, fluids, fluids, fluids, fluids....(it really does help shorten the course of the bug)

I’m glad you went to the dr., Mozie. Hope that anti-inflamatory shot works eventually although you said you have had some relief.
Rest as much as you can. I know that is difficult when you have committments.
