Federal Tax Rap for "Girls Gone Wild" Boss IRS: Joe Francis caught in $20 million corporate evasion scheme

APRIL 11-- Joe Francis, the "Girls Gone Wild" founder, was indicted today on federal tax evasion charges for illegally deducting more than $20 million in phony business expenses from his 2002 and 2003 corporate tax returns.

If convicted of the federal charges, he faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and fines of up to $500,000. Francis was arrested yesterday on an unrelated federal warrant stemming from a civil lawsuit brought against him by seven underage women who were filmed by "Girls Gone Wild" cameramen in Florida in 2003. The contempt citation was issued after Francis rebuffed a judge's order to settle the case with the aid of a mediator.

The title you created “ ‘GIRLS GONE WILD’ VIDEO FOUNDER INDICTED BY FEDS!” is not the title at the source and now has to be changed.

Please do not change the title of any published material.

Francis has a busy life.

“Apparently, a small time Hollywood hustler named Darnell Riley allegedly entered Francis’s Bel Air home, held him at gunpoint and proceeded to videotape him in humiliating positions. He then allegedly stole a bunch of stuff from Francis, drove off in his Bentley all while Francis was in the car’s trunk bound & gagged. The car was left at the gates of Bel Air and found by private security guards. Later, Riley allegedly tried to extort $300,ooo and $500,000 from Francis for the return of the tape. He has since been arrested and awaiting trial.”

You said — “Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy....”

You can look over here for a further discussion on the issue, which really involves *more* than just this guy. It involves a lot of other people —

And also, this first thread, on this issue —

You’ll see that this thing is a lot bigger than this guy...
