Lakoff promoting Nationalized Health Care Book at the Movies

While attending the movies I happen to notice an advertisement on screen co-mingled with the coming attractions to buy George Lakoff's Books.

I found this interesting. As we approach the 08' elections, Hillary Care will be at the center of her run and probably the reason she wants us out of Iraq so she can concentrate on it. But what is disturbing about this is, that this is another example of the left (like Rosie) blurring the message of political debate with entertainment. The Right does it out in the open via talk radio etc., but the left does it with stealth. and without actual debating ideas. My question is who is funding this? A 527 (Thank You McCain/Fiengold)? Should this add be pulled closer to the actual election cycle? Where are the Conservatives promoting their books via the same medium?

Lakoff is one of Chomsky’s buttlickers, a little less leftist, but the same crappy linguistics based on innate grammar abilities. Junk politics and junk science go together.

Be wary of all proposals for FedGov to solve any problems. Every time they solve a problem FedGov grows and takes additional powers and the problem remains.

That maybe true, but where is a book of substance being promoted to counter this cultural phenomenon? We are being beat in the arena of ideas by stealth non ideas that feel good? Is this what has come of the lack of vision of the GOP/House and Senate Leadership etc, etc? The lack of taking ideas to people since Newt left is stunning. We are Rudderless and also do not have a Keel. We are not reaching the center and bringing them along like Reagan did. Most of these movie goers are not the type to listen to Bennett/Prager/Hewitt men of ideas type to come to a logical conclusion on something as complex as health care.

Lakoff has a nutty nonprofit called the Rockridge Institute, funded by the Tides Center (of Teresa Kerry fame).

Don’t know if the Institute has anything to do with his latest hallucinations or not.

I Agree Right Whale,

But where is the Heritage Foundation or someone like it promoting a book like this at the theater? It is like the Conservative movement has gone home and doesn't give a rats behind what happens...
