Obviously, you haven't seen the posts of the people who will "sit it out," if the nominee doesn't match their litmus tests....
I’ve seen them; they are idiots and should be ignored.
That would be me. Onlyu I'm not going to sit it out, I'm going to campaign like hell for a pro-life candidate and if the Republicans choose to elect a pro-abortion gun grabbing cross dressing RINO, then I'll work to elect a pro-life Republican in 2012.
No pro-abortion republican will win in the General Election. Pro-Abortion belongs to the democrats. They will not trust a pro-abortion republican and neither will pro-lifers. A pro-Abortion republican candidate will be doomed from the get-go.
Keep that in mind when you pull the primary lever.
You mean if the nominee is not in accord with their principles. That's not a bad thin. Politics isn't just about "my team wins and your team loses." It's not just about winning for the sake of winning. If we "win" by electing someone who is substantially like the othre guys, what have we won?
Of course, no two people will agree 100 percent and we all have to compromise in politics, but somewhere you have to draw a line of principle and oppose anyone ho crosses it, even if that person is "on your team."
