In the end it's always about the money. This has some interesting ramifications for the upcoming draft. Samuel gets picks but that's a function of people throwing at him. What's his worth on the trade market when CBs are hard to come by? Does someone offer up a first rounder for him? That would give the Pats 3 1st rounders or maybe they get a second to replace what they gave up for Welker. I suspect they could replace ASSante with a draft pick and get younger without having to overpay.

My prediction is that Brady will retire after this season to pursue an acting career.
