I would imagine the fact that the production of Menu Foods is in Canada is because US regulations are stricter.

I dont't know if that is the reason for all these dog food brands use Menu to producte the pet food, but I know I was shocked that the brands I was buying--and I've tried many high end brands for my spoiled girls--that they all were produced at Menu. Amazing.
