I think I made my case fairly well in the first post.
Not only are a good portion of the linux-kernel group not a bunch of software fundamentalists(as torvalds' own words make pretty clear) but the FSF is the one proclaiming this jihad, not the linux-kernel group.
In other words, it's a much more accurate headline.

This halfman guy is as far gone as I've seen, he's not just drinking the Stallman kool aid, he seems to be injecting it. "Leftist Whackos" is what the title should have said, sounds like they may be muslim whackos to boot.
OTOH, software users -- who also like to pay their bills -- have to spend less on software.
