AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 2256) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | March 28, 2007 | All of Us

Posted on 03/28/2007 4:43:28 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!

Good morning!!

We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!

The Senate voted last night, 50-48, to set "surrender" as the avowed policy of the United States.

Much as it would be nice to blame this on the Communist Party (aka the Democratic Party), they were not to blame on this. The deciding vote was Sen. Chuck Hagel from Nebraska. His was vote number 50 for "aye".

What, exactly, did Sen. Hagel foist upon the unsuspecting patriots in this country--those who would want to ensure that our homeland is free from threats abroad, regardless of the form they might take? Among the provisions in the legislation, there is a requirement that troops begin coming home in four-month's time, with a target of full withdrawal by March 2008.

What is truly frustrating is that Sen. Hagel, the Communist Party, and a large number of Americans simply don't get it. Iraq IS the Global War on Terror. President Bush spelled it out in his address in September 2001, and again in his State of the Union show in January 2002--this war will not be like any other we had ever seen. He also indicated it would have silent phases, and live phases; there are two of the latter--Afghanistan, and Iraq.

But it is not possible to blame the President solely for the lack of knowledge on this permeating through American society, the leftist, Communistic, defeatist, don't stand for anything, nothing is worth dying for, media. They would never run the stories of success that is occurring in Iraq; stories that, unless you subscribe to the Military Channel--thank you Discovery, for at least getting this out!--you would think we are mired in a Viet Nam situation (apologies to my Vietnamese friends--while we failed to understand yours was a war of independence, it was our abandonment that ensured such a war ended with a Communist dictatorship). No, the President was stuck with body counts, stories of American atrocities (war is messy, folks, stuff happens--but suffice it to say that for every American atrocity covered by the New York Times there were 1,000 enemy atrocities of far more severity totally unmentioned), seemingly clueless American military leadership--for days on end. Continual bombardment, both in actual warfare and propaganda, slowly begins to take its toll.

This was the strategy of Nguyen Giap--the principal architect of the Vietnamese victory in the 1970s (though he didn't live to see the North's eventual triumph)--in the Second Indochinese War. The strategy was simple, and elegent. It realized the North was doomed militarily, but that the United States would not, once the war was brought to living rooms, maintain a stomach for the conflict. He was right, and despite an overall kill ratio of over 20 North Vietnamese and Viet Cong to Americans, we lost.

Our current foe has studied history well--they are executing EXACTLY the same strategy. This is not conjecture. This is established fact based upon the writings of terrorists immediately after the election. The terrorists called upon the Democrats in the United States Congress to keep their campaign promises to leave Iraq in disgrace, in surrender, in humiliation.

Sadly, with the vote of a Republican, a vote to keep the campaign promise has carried the day.

One Republican--all that stood between support for our troops and a devestation of their morale.

One Republican--all that stood between support for democracy in Iraq, and a dooming of the country to terrorists and Islamic "justice".

One Republican--all that stood between the hard work to achieve victory and the easy course of surrender.

One Republican--all that stands between fighting the terrorists over there, and fighting them over here.

Yes, over here. The war is not just in Iraq. This is the GLOBAL War on Terror, the Third World War. Our enemy is fighting with the strategies and tactics of Giap, but on a global scale. Those who think Giap was stupid in his approach do so at their own peril--his country won after all. We cannot afford for the terrorists to win, to achieve their vision of a world caliphate dominated from the Middle East.

No, the war will not stay "over there". The long-term nexus of the battle is Israel, and it still exists. Iran has made it clear that the destruction of Israel is the ultimate goal, and Al Qa'eda has iterated the same desired outcome. Iran has profusely funded terrorist organizations--Hezbollah, Hamas, and while there are no news reports confirming this, it would not be surprising if money was not making its way into Al Qa'eda. Certainly Iranian arms are being found in Iraq, and Iran--the birthplace of modern terrorism--is certainly attempting to strong arm Britain using the same tactics of the 444 Days.

These tactics gave birth to a malevolent state--one that desires the crushing of personal freedoms, and the enslavement of women. One that seeks at all costs the destruction of Israel--and they realize that Israel's benefactor is the United States. Our departure from Iraq would leave Israel still there, still receiving American support. This would require the war be brought to the enemy, from Iran's terms. From Al Qa'eda's terms--if there is a distinction.

Senator Hagel's vote of yesterday, if pulled through to its unfortunate and logical conclusion, will bring the war back to the United States.

President Bush once remarked that Nations had a choice--they could either side with the United States, or they could side with the terrorists. This could also be asked of individuals.

Senator Hagel--ask yourself that question. This space looks forward to hearing your answer.

After yesterday, the sands of time are running through the hourglass with respect to this Nation. May God have mercy on us.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I am still at work.

I just received an email asking for a donation ot Hillary's campaign to help defray the cost of paying off Vilsack's debt and to pay the Vilsack's salaries thru the end of the campaign. (the fund raising goal is $750,000)

Good Heavens! They are really scraping the botton of the barrel if my name has come up.

As IF!

Very interesting. I wonder if they thought that even though you are a Republican, as a woman and an Iowan you would want to contribute?

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Boy, they REALLY irritated you, didn't they?

Send them their postage-paid envelope back filled with random trash. They will be charged for it and you will feel better!

The request came via my email box. Not in the junk mail, so I can't send back the postage paid envelope.

I ment to mention earlier today that we had Huckabee in Caucus earlier this week.

He's got solid conservative credentials, but he's sort of wishy washy on global warming.

And he's almost as exciting as milk toast.

Thank goodness she's doing well, lysie. That's very good news.

We just watched the movie A Good Year. The scenery is breathtaking and it's a light and funny romantic comedy without being stupid; we both really liked it a lot.

So now I came in the study and turned on the television and the president is at the Radio and TV correspondents dinner and speaking. He says his heart sank when he heard from Tony and said they are all looking forward to his return to the WH.

The president said people wonder how he gets along with Nancy Pelosi. The president said she's bossy but how's that different than my mother. ROFL

That line is hilarious in more ways than one. I don't imagine Pelosi would like being compared to the President's gray-haired mother. HAHAHA!

Huckabee is probably a very nice man, but he is a diet and smoking fanatic. I just don't see him as a president.

She started to laugh and then got this nervous look in her eyes like "Did he just insult me and call me as old as his mother?" I was literally gasping for air I laughed so hard.

thanks for that priceless tidbit

I am imprisoned at my desk. Occasionally pressing a green button and then mashing the red button really hard.

Surely Brit will have a clip of that one on his show. I'll try to catch the rerun overnight tomorrow night.

If she cuts off our pay like Clinton did to the Army in the '90s, she is offically a commie. Sorry but with all the threats Pelosi, the President has a good reason to be on the defensive.

Mike Savage's talk show last night was discussing Al Gore.....Seems he thinks he's been selected by God to save the planet. He may run as an independent (which would screw up Hillary)

The good news is that once you hold the caucus, Huckabee and most of the second tier candidates will be gone. I'm thinking it'll come down to Thompson and Rudy, and Fred KO's Rudy on Super Duper Tuesday...

Well, the Saudi King has spoken

"...Saudi King Abdullah, a key U.S. ally in the Middle East, yesterday slammed what he termed the "illegitimate foreign occupation" of neighboring Iraq and called for an end to the "unjust" U.S.-backed financial blockade of the Palestinian government"

He sees the US bailing out so he's now vulnerable to the bad guys. He's trying to appear anti-US now.
