mommy fighting his battles for him at 13 is going to ruin this kid for life.

dad, if there is one around, needs to teach this kid how to fight.

1. When attacked, swing HARD at the nose.
2. If it is a stituation where there are more than one attacker, all rules of "fighting etiquette" are off the table - meaning go for the balls and/or eys.

this poor kid is going to have a tough life if someone doesn't step in and teach him to manup.

hard to believe that so many posts on this thread actually blame the victim , again, as is a norm apparently here on FR.....

I'll bet this kid was a skinny, little guy....I don't associate HS golf types as the aggressive burly types, so why would we expect this young kid to come bouncing back at his tormentors...for all he knew, it was a sanctioned deal what with a coach and other players sitting right there......

I'd guess if Mom did nothing, this behavior would continue on and on and on.....

maybe the weak ones are the ones who let it go on and on and on and do nothing about it?

The principal of the school had no comment on the incident but said the school has taken the appropriate action and has launched an investigation.

Translation: The school officials will everything possible to protect themselves.

1)Children should not be riding a school bus, filled with immature and impulsive children, with only a distracted bus driver to supervise them.

2) What would happen to a parent if this happened in their home? If the SS child welfare people would be knocking on a parent's door, then they should be knocking on the doors of the principals and teachers who allowed these unsupervised conditions.

Teachers and principals should be held to the **same** standards of safety and behavior as are the rest of the commoners.
