As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
Iran is planning to charge the 15 British sailors with illegal entry into its territory. On a related matter, Iran said it will limit cooperation with the UN after the world body voted to impose sanctions when Iran refused to halt nuclear enrichment.
Senate Republican have blocked a measure that would have allowed Algore to stage his Live Earth concert on the Capitol grounds.
The eko-wackos in Sydney, Australia, are seeking to have that city become the first to stage an hour-long globull warming blackout--yep, turn out the city lights. The city has agreed, though participants have to volunteer--the city itself will darken government buildings for the hour, and thousands of residents also will join in. Restaurants have indicated they will serve dinner by candlelight--no word from the fire marshall on that.
And President Chavez of Venezuela has announced he will work toward the creation of "collective property" in that country.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Howdie darlin'!
I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that if the libs get their way and stop the Iraq funding, the media will simply report the day-to-day happenings with a happy spin and it will seem like a miracle happened.
I see over on the news side that the democrats want to start up with the equal rights amendment thing again!
I don't know about you, but I REFUSE to do the 70's again.
But ABG saved the day!
80s again here for today and tomorrow, then back to the 60s for the rest of the week.
The RATS won't cut the funding, because they know that they'll lose the Congress next year if they do. As it is, Pelosi and Reid are going to be hard pressed to keep it now...
(When I was teaching HS seniors, I was dismayed to hear some of them say that they did not want to become adults "because it wasn't fun".)
They're feeling their oats, giving meat(or in their instance, vegetables or drugs) to the leftwingnuts, as they have to know that none of this is ever going to be passed into law...
52 at the moment. Yesterday we reached 80, which set a record, and not once did I hear anyone complain about global warming. ; )
Happy belated birthday, Toby!
Eldest daughter is doing well in France, and is headed to Ireland for a week's stay during the coming spring break. (And I get excited if I get to go to Milwaukee!)
I see my beloved Packers are playing on Thanksgiving Day this year. I hope they fare better then my turkey!
Latest rumor is that they are still trying to bring in Randy Moss.
Oh joy!
I say bring on that global warming!
I sense a note of sarcasm on that Randy Moss comment. If so, I don't blame you...
She's so immersed into reading and writing French, that she's now having trouble writing in English. Amazing!
ABG, LOL... yep that was a bit of sarcasm.
Maybe we can talk Max McGee into coming out of retirement! ; )
Happy to be of service. ;^)

Yawn...Good morning Dawn Patrol.
blink-blink
More coffee....
You look ravishing!
The Packers need to look at a new receiver, but I don't think Calvin Johnson will be around by the time they come on the clock. But Randy Moss is not the answer. He's almost as destructive to team chemistry as T.O. The next thing they need to look for is Favre's eventual replacement. He's going to retire in the next year or two. If they haven't already got him, they need to draft a QB, and they need a good RB.
On the face of it, they're looking at a big rebuilding job. The Saints did it in one year, but a Drew Brees and Reggie Bush don't come along very often...
Heh! Good morning NY.
Just to prove that no good deed goes unpunished, last summer I agreed to tend to the plants of some neighbors here who'd left for the summer. There was no pay, I just watered them three times a week.
I'd already agreed to tend to them when a conversation arose between us that made it clear that our political viewpoints were diametrically opposite. For instance, she believes that "except for his morals" Bill Clinton was America's finest president. You can guess where that conversation led.
The plants flourished while they were gone and I know she was astounded when they returned that I'd shown that level of commitment to them and kept up with the required waterings. She expected them to be doing poorly or dead, I'm certain.
Anyway, out of the blue last night they called (we rarely see them otherwise) and asked us out to dinner, sort of a "thankyou" for taking care of the plants. So, I guess we will be going some night this week. (He's not bad to talk to, it's her that's the flaming lib.)
Mr. Prairie thinks we should just avoid politics during the meal and I agree. But I've already drawn the line that I won't sit there and let lies go unchallenged...if these folks start spreading any, that is.
And she'll have to make other arrangements for her plants this summer because I won't be here to tend to them either, lol!
