So happy things are going your way.
Okay, we will hear from you at some point with more adventures from Taiwan.

Hello all,
I tried to upload some pictures from my digital camera but I forgot the little extra-smally-thingy you need to connect to a normal sized USB port.
As I transfered flights in San Francisco they were having a huge silver exhibition. Kind of funny given my silver spoon epiphany! There were dozens of silver objects, the ones I liked most (and took most photos of) dated from the early 1900's.
Teapots, dishes, bowls, spoons (of course), and even little clocks! But my digital camera is not the best in the world, and I'm still learning how to use it, so some of the pictures might not be too wonderful.
SF airport was also having an Indonesian exhibition and I took some pictures of exotic dolls and murals. Finally, in Taipei, there was a small display of Buddhist images, which I took some snaps of as well.
I will look forward to trickling these all into the Lair over the next 3 weeks, at which point, it appears right now anyway, I will go back to Bangkok for a couple days of visa issuing. And in Bangkok I'll try to go on some of the available tours, so I'll try to get through all my 'return to Asia' images before then.
Why don't Lairites search a bit on the Internet and see which tourist attraction you want me to take a photo op tour to? Maybe the River Kwai, or maybe the Floating Market. Look around and I'll take special requests, otherwise I'll just pick one myself (it must be affordable! and also must be near Bangkok, I'm not going to travel around Thailand this time!). Let me know!
Life is strange, isn't it? I can see all these sights and go live in exotic locations (and eat the delicious foods I'm so happy to return to), but drive a truck or do manual labor in my own country? No, no, can't have that at all! A strange destiny, is mine.
Cheers, and see you around,
starbase
