The sun was warm but the wind was chill.
You know how it is with an April day..
When the sun is out and the wind is still,.
You're one month on in the middle of May..
But if you so much as dare to speak,.
a cloud come over the sunlit arch,.
And wind comes off a frozen peak,.
And you're two months back in the middle of March..

UPON APRIL'S WELCOMING


April comes, and upon it's breeze, bears renaissance
And, virginity to natures host of newborn greenpeace
Shadows lift o'er, the glazing pattern, of mornings mist
Days longer now on through th' ides, of Aprils eventide

Buds so fresh and fragile blossom in between eyeblink
One nite, branches naked in their stand dress'd in frost
Yet, like majique, we awake to branches, clad in leaves
Mother Nature fails not each spring, to curry our interest

Sweeted rainfall quenches, th' earth that winter ravished
Penetrates, th' hardened dirt, that suffocates new growth
Nourishes, and promises it's loyalty.....to the Gifts of May
'N, April be th' Genesis to all that Life 'n Romance kindles
