You could save a little effort next time by replying to the original thread to "All"

Replying to "All" won't do a dang thing special, so far as I know. It won't actually "ping" anyone. It won't cause your post to show up on the list of messages sent to any of the others.

The "All" just acknowledges to readers that you are writing from a perspective wider than just responding to one previous poster.

If I'm wrong, I'd welcome a correction.

I think you’re right — but it would be nice to have an All feature that does do someting like that. It’s tedious to build a little ping list by hand when you want to reply to several posters on a thread. I always botch the spellings and have to go back and correct at least once.
