Tech writer huh?
I have deep, dark, doubts about anyone in that profession. They are all closet horror writers.
After 30 years in the trade, I should know.
Every get the urge to insert some funky text in a tech book?
I got in trouble once, in the troubleshooting section of the manual, I inserted the question:
"Do you have any loose screws?"
No one caught it and it went out the door like that. Feedback was awsome. I, however, had to hussle and find a new contract.
That's absolutely and profoundly untrue.
Some of us are openly horror writers.
My horror publication has only been in the smallest of ways...I sold a short story to Deathrealm magazine something over a decade ago, and last year I sold a couple of horror radio plays to a project that folded before they went to press. I'm proudest of the radio plays, though...they were some of my best work, and the audio-only constriction is great for my creativity.
