Okay....it's not the best quality, because I don't currently have a capture device hooked to my DVR, so I had to take a camera shot and downsize it.

It's not conclusive, but it at least shows there's potential for creating the illusion of a neck....

I think it's just that with the open neck, we see the little one that's there, but she does look just fine there.
