I'd fire the clerk for leaving the door open and letting all the A/C or heat out.

Isn't chocolate toxic to dogs?

I enjoy stories like this.

When we toured Alaska, the guide in Juneau said when they built the new supermarket in town, they put in the wrong kind of doors. The bears were able to walk right in at night and make delicious choices until they were full.

They changed to bear-proof doors.

I had a thief dog years ago... Whenever merchants would open their back doors to get a summer breeze ol' Albie would grab something and run. The best was when I saw her (from my third floor window) running from the back door of a convenience store with a pound of bacon in her mouth and the store clerk in hot pursuit.

She had a running mate, Charley, a wise old beagle, who would keep the peek as Albie and he went up and down the street looking for cars with open windows. Albie would jump in and take something, anything, a sock, a kids toy, a piece of paper, and they'd run off together to bury their new treasure.

Pretty funny to watch.
