RICHWOODS When Shawn Hornbeck first walked through the doorway of his family's new home Tuesday evening, his jaw dropped and he backtracked right out of the house.
A moment later, he opened the front door again, still smiling ear-to-ear and headed straight toward his new room.
He was floored again. Shawn stood outside the blue room, with its small plasma television mounted on the wall, an encased poster of his favorite movie, "The Fast and The Furious," and an iTunes home audio system on his dresser.

"Some part of his actions spoke of a runaway." Really? I don't know of too many kids that "run away" with a pedophile pointing a gun at them. Do you?
Thank you for posting this heartwarming story! I'm glad to see Mitchell is still being honored too.
How overwhelming and awesome for Shawn and his parents. I pray that all families will have complete healing. Tis a true testament of love, a heart warming story. I read that the house was suppose to be done in May but because of the huge amount of donated time and materials it was done way ahead of schedule.
"Just imagine what the giving would be like if people weren't enslaved to the federal and state governments for half of their lives?"
Just had to give a "yeah, you right" and a bump to this quote.
