I agree that the husband's reaction was insane, but I understand. I'm sure it's humiliating enough to have your wife cheat on you, but cheating on you with a teenage boy and having everyone know about it makes it a thousand times worse. Everyone snaps in some way when they're extremely humiliated. Whether they lock themselves in a room and sob or commit violence depends on the person and circumstances.
