"The very idea of a Hall of Fame is so NOT rock n roll."

You're the only other person I've encountered who expressed the same thought I had the first time I heard of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It's kind of like a Revolutionaries Hall of Fame. Kind of an oxymoron.

I recall when the Rock Museum was opening, and Spin magazine reported its opening ceremonies, which happened in the day time, and the writer commented "Rock n roll doesn't happen in the daytime." Not a huge Spin fan but that writer GOT it, at least.

It's so amusing how rockers start out as rebels and then demand respect from the institutions and society they rebelled against.
