Can we get Boston's lead Senator to join him?

"Don't look back..."

Poor SOB. Too bad he didn't get some help. Perhaps he did, and it didn't take?

Suicide is a complete surrender to hopelessness.

I hope God treats him gently.

I've been listening to rock for over 45 years....and Brad Delp still ranks as the single most amazing voice I've ever heard in the genre. Just an unreal talented man. This is tremendously sad; a major loss to his family, friends, fans, and to music.

He will be greatly missed.

Saw them in Baton Rouge during the Third Stage tour (198- something). They were awesome.

What was really neat was that every song they sang, EVERY person in the assembly center knew EVERY WORD and sang along, it was amazing!

Sorry to hear of the lead singer's troubled life and death. Prayers for his family and loved ones.

Just goes to show just how nasty the music business can be.

Very sad. I went to a Boston concert many years ago, must have been late 70s. I went with a friend; I wonder where J.S. is today.

I am currently reading a book titled "codependent no more." If there's anything to it, Brad was a codependent, which is the way normal people react to abnormal people around them. All the elements in place, Scholz the perfectionist psycho on one side, the rest of the guys on the other. Brad in the middle trying to make everything right. The syndrome is similar to children of alcoholics.

The sad thing is, except for Brad's inability to step back and let others deal with their own problems, he was the normal one. It was the psychos around him that created the pain.

For quite a long time, I had a bit of a codependency thing of my own going on with a psycho family member. I thought I had to keep taking it. Until I get fed up. Then I cut her loose and got rid of 98% of my life's problems.

Brad Delp lit two charcoal grills in the bathroom adjacent to his master bedroom and committed suicide via asphyxiation last week....

Sad, but I guess he wanted to be savory in the afterlife...?

But friends say there was a dark side.(DA DA DA DAAAA!)

Indulging in self-depricating humor is a dark side?

God, how I long for the days when a rock star's dark side involved sex, drugs, fast cars, empty swimming pools, a few pygmies, many Technicolor yawns, perhaps a loaded gun and the odd coma or too...
