Beltway buzz: Bush daughter getting engaged

Internet rumors are buzzing over a possible secret engagement this weekend for the country’s favorite First Party Girl, Jenna Bush.

Both D.C. gossip site Wonkette.com and New York gossip site Jossip.com are reporting that the blond Bush twin is planning a secret enagagment in South America to former Karl Rove intern Henry Hager.

A tipster to Jossip.com wrote: “Jenna Bush is getting engaged this weekend . . . Henry Hager is on spring break and is visting Jenna. His parents are coming this weekend . . . They want to get married on the ranch in Texas.”

When asked by a Washington Post reporter last week about the engagement rumors, a spokesperson for first lady Laura Bush squashed the gossip, saying Jenna was definitely not currently engaged.

Bush, 25, recently nabbed a $300,000 publishing contract with HaperCollins Publishers. Her first book is targeted to a young adult market and focuses on the story of a 17-year-old single mother in Panama with HIV.

Hager, 26 of Richmond, Va., is the son of former Virginia Lt. Gov. John Hager. The senior Hager is currently on the Bush administration’s payroll.

"He is a strong, faithful, conservative leader....."

.....And then we all woke up from our delusions.....

He is NOT a conservative. He is fiscally liberal. He is an internationalist, a globalist. He prefers a Dem Congress to a more conservative Republican one (and just in case you are wondering, I voted straight ticket Repub in 2006).

"Dang, they ought to get married in the White House. Why pass up such an opportunity as that? But, it's their wedding..."

Yeah, give the libtards ANOTHER thing to whine about.
