I translated this from an e-mail that I received:
"If you are being forced by a thief to withdraw money from an automatic teller, you can enter your PIN number the other way around which will automatically notify to the police.
For example if the PIN number is 1234 enter: 4321. The machine recognizes that it is your PIN number in reverse and corresponds to that of the card that you put in the machine.
The machine will still give you the money, but, unknown to the thief, the police will be warned and will leave to help immediately.
This information was transmitted recently by the TV, but it is rarely used because people do not know that it exists."
Has anyone else heard of this or is it just in Spain?
