I just went to see 300 & it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The movie is about honor, sacrifice, freedom, patriotism, etc. I think the generation of Americans who fought the Japanese & Germans in WW II would have tears of nationalism running down their checks after watching this masterpiece. As for the blood, gore & heads rolling, well thats what fighting a war all is about. This movie is not for the modern day hedonism American who would find more in common with the Persian Emporer, Xerxes then the Spartans who saved Western Democratic ( In its infancy, like Iraq today) from the Persian hordes.

Hell yeah it was!
The message was very clear.
I know it is artistic representation and that is ok.
Lets make sure we jam that message down the liberals throats!
Freedom isn't free. That was actually said in the film.
How often does that happen?

I heard it got great reviews and is making a mint at the box office. Glad to hear it. But Alas I have boycotted Hollywierd Movies since their outrageous comments just after 9/11 (I'm a stubborn NYer ya know! LOL!) so I will wait until it comes to cable. It's definitely on my to see list! Thanks for the review!

Did everyone in the theater cheer when the Democrat senator got his just desserts from the Queen?

Who's 'they'? Would you boycott all cars if some people in the auto industry made some outrageous comments?

In Before The Historical Accuracy/Persian Apologists start posting.
I can hardly wait to see this one. I like Frank Miller's work and the 300 is his homage to the Spartans.

There was a movie staring Richard Egan that was very good. Same story.

It is OK to be a cultural dissident. For lunk heads like the Hollywood types, the $$$$ is all they understand anyway. I have not paid to see a Hollywood production for donkey's years. I won't any time soon, either. My entertainment dollars are not spent on movies. If enough people send the message, maybe it will burst the bubble those clowns are floating around on. I am reinforced in this every single time I hear one of those over-indulged, overpaid, under-educated idiots giving me advice on politics.

I've seen YouTube clips and frankly, the Xerxes guy looks like a giant John Edwards.

Glenn Beck had an interesting commentary yesterday asking why Americans love movies like this, but don't want to crush the Islamofacists in the Middle East, no matter what it takes?

I have to say that the cartoon chix in "Day by Day" turn me on in a Jessica Rabbit kind of way.
